The PDGA World Championships are a major long-running subject in the museum’s championship interpretation. This page will serve as the overview and index for championship editions, competitors, venues, records, and related collection material.

History

Establish a citation-supported account of the championships’ creation, changes in format and divisions, and place within professional disc golf.

Editions

Build a year-by-year index linking each edition to dates, host location, courses, divisions, champions, official results, and contemporary sources.

People and records

Separate biographical interpretation from statistical tables. Define the scope and source of every record.

Museum connections

Link programs, discs, bags, trophies, apparel, photographs, video, and publications to the relevant edition and person. See Ken Climo's first disc golf bag.

Sources and research notes

Research needed: Reconcile official results, event programs, contemporary coverage, and later statistical compilations before publishing tables.
